ABSTRACT

A method for evaluating a condition of at least one sealing element of a valve
is disclosed. The method includes actuating the valve between an open position
and a closed position for a first cycle-time and recording and storing a first
dataset of measured force of at least one sealing element, actuating the valve
for a second cycle-time and recording and storing a second dataset of the at
least one sealing element, comparing the first dataset to the second dataset
or a predefined dataset to determine a difference or change or shift between
the first dataset and the second dataset, and outputting the condition of the
at least one sealing element based on the difference or change or shift.
