ABSTRACT

A brake pad for a disc-brake as used in a vehicle. The brake pad includes
shaped disc contact areas on the side of the pad where the said brake pad
makes contact with the brake disc during braking. The shaped nature of the pad
consists of elevated and/or depressed features relative to the flat sides of
the pad, generally in the shapes of sloped ridges and/or valleys, which run in
an arcing configuration when viewed from the said pad's side view
perspective.
