ABSTRACT

A lifting apparatus includes an air supply conduit having an air supply end
and a first air discharge end, a first blade in fluid communication with the
first air discharge end, and a perforated diaphragm configured to allow air
flow through the diaphragm and the blade. The diaphragm and the first blade
assembly form a cavity configured to receive air from the first discharge end
and discharge the air from the perforated diaphragm.
