ABSTRACT

A self-propelled pool cleaner, also known as a jet cleaner, includes systems
and methods for controlling a direction of movement of the pool cleaner based
on a direction of rotation of an impeller and thus direction in which a jet of
water is exiting the pool cleaner. The pool cleaner includes an impeller,
which both draws water through a filter onboard the pool cleaner and directs
water out of the pool cleaner as a water jet to propel the pool cleaner.
