ABSTRACT

A carrier assembly for carrying a vehicle component defines a first axis, a
second axis perpendicular to the first axis, and a third axis perpendicular to
the first axis and the second axis and includes a carrier frame configured to
be coupled to a robot arm assembly, a linear actuator assembly mounted on the
carrier frame and including a rod and a linear actuator that moves the rod
linearly along the first axis, and a clamp assembly fixed to the rod and
configured to be moved linearly along the first axis. The clamp assembly
includes a first jaw and a second jaw configured to clamp an edge portion of
the vehicle component.
