# Fastener Extractor

## Abstract

A fastener extractor 1 for extracting multiple fasteners 3 from a material 2 to which the fasteners are affixed. The fastener extractor 1 includes a clamp 5 with a pair of mutually opposing clamping members 6a, 6b. The clamping members 6a, 6b reciprocate between open and closed positions. Each clamping member 6a, 6b has a fastener-engaging surface 7a, 7b and is elongate in a direction transverse to the clamping force. A powered actuator 8 moves the clamping members together to the closed position, thereby moving the fastener-engaging surfaces 7a, 7b to engage with the fasteners 3 located therebetween and apply a clamping force thereto. A powered separator 9a, 8b provides relative movement of the material 2 and clamping members 6a, 6b to thereby remove the fasteners 3 from the material 2.
