ABSTRACT

A foot pedal system includes a hand-held gripper including a camera that
receives image data of actions performed by a user, and a foot pedal
communicatively coupled to the camera. The foot pedal includes an actuation
button. The foot pedal system also includes a controller configured to receive
an activation command from the foot pedal in response to the actuation of the
actuation button; transmit the activation command to the camera to activate
the reception of image data with the camera; receive a deactivation command
from the foot pedal in response to the actuation of the actuation button; and
transmit the deactivation command to the camera to stop the reception of image
data with the camera.
