ABSTRACT

A turboshaft engine transmission (201) with a torque measurement system (202)
is provided. The turboshaft engine transmission (201) includes a front housing
(210), a rear housing (220), a mating flange (230) axially interposed between
the front and rear housings (210, 220), the mating flange (230) defining a
sensing bolt hole (240), assembly bolts (260) disposed to assemble the front
and rear housings (210, 220) to the mating flange (230) with a preload
sufficient to maintain assembly during engine operational conditions and a
sensing bolt (250) installed in the sensing bolt hole (240) to measure forces
exerted on the mating flange (230) by the front and rear housings (210, 220).
