ABSTRACT

A conveyance system includes, for example, a first passage group that is
constituted of a plurality of passages that are used for a plurality of
wheeled platforms, that extend in a first direction, and that are formed in a
line shape, a second passage group that is constituted of a plurality of
passages that are used for the plurality of wheeled platforms, that extend in
a second direction that intersects with the first direction, and that are
formed in the line shape, a plurality of transfer portions in each of which
the wheeled platform stops in order to carry out at least one of loading and
unloading, and a control unit that controls a movement of the plurality of
wheeled platforms on the first passage group and the second passage group,
wherein at least one of the passages included in the first passage group
intersects with at least one of the passages included in the second passage
group, and the control unit controls the movement of each of the plurality of
wheeled platforms such that, on a first passage included in the first passage
group, the number of wheeled platforms moving in the first direction in a
predetermined time period is greater than the number of wheeled platforms
moving in a direction opposite to the first direction in the predetermined
time period.
