ABSTRACT

Disclosed is a pallet sorting system including an overhead conveyor system, a
loading assembly, a stacking assembly, and a release assembly. The overhead
conveyor system has a conveyor platform and a push rail. The loading assembly
configured to provide a pallet to the overhead conveyor system. The loading
assembly includes a first feeder coupled with a first elevator, and a second
feeder coupled with a second elevator. The first elevator is spaced from the
second elevator by a gap. The stacking assembly is located below the conveyor
platform. The stacking assembly includes a first chute, a first movable floor,
and a first height adjustment mechanism operably coupled to the first movable
floor. The release assembly is coupled to a portion of the conveyor platform.
The release assembly includes a portion selectively configured to release a
pallet into the first chute.
