  "abstract": "A ratchet tool that includes a stabilizing and sealing gasket is disclosed. The gasket is disposed between a cover plate and a ratchet gear. The gasket may be disposed within an annular recess of the cover plate and includes at least one contact surface to prevent debris and/or fluids from entering a ratchet assembly cavity of a ratchet head. The gasket is also operable to bias the ratchet gear towards a bottom surface of the ratchet assembly cavity and along a rotational axis of the ratchet gear, thereby providing a more reliable ratchet tool.",
