# Cargo conveyor unit

## Abstract

A cargo conveyor unit 1 comprising a chassis 2 for moving the unit. A driveable cargo belt 4 for conveying baggage or cargo 5. The cargo belt 4 comprises a main belt 8, and at least one lead belt 9 protruding from the main belt 8. The lead belt 9 is predominantly storable in a belt compartment beneath the main belt 8, for adjusting the length of the cargo belt 4. The lead belt 9 may be a series of belt sections 12 with pivoting joints. There may be an alignment means comprising tilted belts either side of the main cargo belt. There may be a monitoring unit, logic unit, and drive unit. A method of using the apparatus is disclosed. The method may include a cargo compartment of an aircraft, after the cargo is loaded a net may secure the cargo. The cargo compartment may have a fan shaped mechanism to install the net. And a balloon may be installed on top of the baggage or cargo.
