A circlip 3 has a bevelled axial face (or two bevels, 330, 350, fig 4) and gets thinner with increasing radius. Sleeve 2 may be an interference fit, have radial apertures (25’, 26’, figs 6,7) for a tool (TR, figs 6,7) to compress the circlip 3. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ OpenTechnical publication OT-2026-000002770 Published 2026-09-15T19:15:14.668922Z https://opentechnical.org/p/OT-2026-000002770
