ABSTRACT

A system for holding a workpiece has a support table having a support surface
and formed with an array of anchor seats opening at the support surface. At
least one clamp securable in a one of the seats has a clamp body displaceable
parallel to the support surface. A stop body normally lying on the surface has
a centering formation defining an axis generally perpendicular to the support
surface and has a polygonal periphery defined by a plurality of flat sides
generally perpendicular to the surface and lying at different spacings from
the axis. An anchor centered on the axis and seated in a one of the seats
secures the stop body to the surface with one of its sides bearing against the
workpiece and the stop-body axis fixed relative to the respective seat.
