ABSTRACT

A magnetic holding device, comprising magnetically activable holding surface
having pole members of different polarities, and at least a first and a second
single-pole extension members for said pole members of opposite polarities.
Each pole-extension member comprises a base portion fastened to a pole member
and a movable portion sliding on said base portion along an inclined surface
the sliding surfaces of said first and second pole-extension members are
slanted in opposite angular directions in respect to said holding surface of
the device.
