Publication integrity
OpenTechnical maintains technical and operational records intended to preserve the identity and publication history of its disclosures.
What every publication receives
- a permanent publication number;
- a publication timestamp generated in UTC by the publication infrastructure;
- cryptographic content hashes over the exact published bytes;
- a signed publication manifest;
- an integrity record that remains available as further evidence arrives.
Beyond the publication itself
OpenTechnical additionally maintains a chronological append-only publication log, independent RFC 3161 timestamps over batched publication hashes, independent external retrieval records produced by infrastructure separate from the publication system, and periodic custody packages.
Nothing is silently overwritten
Published technical content is not silently overwritten. Where a correction or revised disclosure is required, it receives a separate publication identifier, and the earlier publication remains available.
Recovery
The object corpus is authoritative. The metadata database and the search index are derived, and both are rebuildable from the publication manifests. A catastrophic database loss does not alter or erase the original publications.
