Abstract

A method of identifying a drone operating via a mobile telecommunications network. The method comprises determining the number of simultaneous direct connections between a mobile telecommunication device and different network transceivers. The determined number of connections is compared with a threshold number of direct connections. If the determined number of number of connections is found to be greater than the threshold number of direct connections, the method comprises identifying the mobile telecommunication device as a potential drone.
