Abstract

A one-piece mount 2 for mounting a cable tie to a mounting surface comprises a head section 8 defining a strap receiving channel 10. A pair of laterally spaced legs 16a, 16b extend from the head 8 to a distal end of the mount 2. A pair of locating arms 22a, 22b are associated respectively with the pair of legs 16a, 16b extending laterally from a side of each respective leg 16a, 16b. Each leg 16a, 16b includes a retaining spring tab 26a extending outwardly an upwardly from the leg 16a, 16b. The spring tabs 26a are movable towards the leg 16a, 16b from an expanded configuration to a compressed configuration, to allow the legs 16a, 16b to be inserted through a mounting aperture in a mounting surface. The spring tabs 26a and the arms 22a, 22b are spaced along the legs 16a, 16b. The arms 16a, 16b are located between the spring tabs 26a and the head 8, and engage and locate against the outside of a mounting surface. The spring tabs 26a engage an underside of the mounting surface in the expanded configuration to prevent removal of the mount 2 from the mounting aperture. [Figure 1 to accompany the abstract]
